“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
— Anais Nin
Hello, I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Gretchen Champoux, M.Div, LMHC and I am a Seattle-based psychotherapist specializing in C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, spirituality and relationship struggles. My approach is relational, depth-oriented, and trauma-informed. Social justice and equity issues are values that also guide my practice.
There are many reasons people start psychotherapy. For some, it's a recent loss or feelings of sadness that simply won’t subside. For others, a transition, creative block, or an unrelenting anxiety.
What may bring you to therapy can often be framed as "problems." This is one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is that your distress in the form of symptoms is signifying that you are very much alive. This is how I see it. As a psychotherapist, I help you attend to those symptoms in a way that brings relief and growth.
I look forward to meeting with you.
